Sony Announces new PS3 Virtual 7.1 headset

Sony have announced that they are to start selling PS3 gaming headphones. Currently, all that Sony offers to PS3 users in terms of a headset is the official Bluetooth Headset, which only supports voice chat and not game sound. These new headphones produced specifically for the PS3 are set to be available this September, in more then enough time for Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3.
Little is currently known about the headset, but what we do know is that it will, feature virtual Dolby 7.1 surround sound, be wireless through a USB dongle and Bluetooth and will feature on screen displays such as volume and battery level. The device is expected to cost around $100/£60.
